Step 1.
Bunch up your balls of newspaper/paper but not too big or you will use a LOT of the Mod Podge and yarn.
Step 2.
Cover the paper with the Mod Podge using the sponge brush.
Step 3.
Use the yarn straight off the roll and tie a little bit to x to anchor it. Wrap the yarn all around the paper ball.
Step 4.
When you feel you have wrapped it enough, cut the end of the string and wrap it under another piece. It will look very messy - this is normal and part of the fun!
Step 5.
Dip the sponge in the Mod Podge and generously dab it all over the string, making sure to cover it really well. Soak it so there are no dry pieces of yarn.
Step 6.
Let dry for about 24 hours. It needs to be REALLY DRY when you pull out the paper, or the yarn will lose its shape.
Step 7.
Pull out the paper pieces from the egg. It might be tricky to separate the paper from the yarn, so the egg might lose a bit of its shape. Don’t worry if this happens, just place your finger in a gap and gently shape it back into an egg from the inside.
Step 8.
Tie each egg to a long piece of the yarn to make a garland and hang it wherever you like!
