Urgent express freight can be arranged, contact Bellbird for pricing. Freight is charged on total order value and back orders will be delivered freight free.

Back orders will be retained automatically and shipped as soon as the stock arrives however Bellbird reserves the right to cancel any back order under $15 in value (you will be notified in this instance). Freight only will be charged on return of unwanted goods if we arrange transport (refer to our Claim’s Policy).

Standard Delivery Time:

Delivery times reflect the distance the parcel travels and the remoteness of the location. Victorian customers and other Capital cities within Australia can expect delivery within five (5) working days, remote locations up to ten (10) working days.

We aim to despatch orders within 48 hours of being placed, assuming products ordered are in stock. Once the order leaves our premises, the time taken to deliver will depend on the carrier and the destination.

Special Requirements:

You may sometimes have special requirements for the delivery of your parcel. Any comments that you would like to include can be recorded in a comment box in the Delivery Information section of the checkout process when placing your order. For example your centre’s opening hours or ‘Ok to leave at the front door’ for home deliveries.

Overseas orders:

For overseas orders, customers can arrange their own transport to be picked up from our warehouse.

Delivery Method:

Bellbird will use one of the delivery methods to deliver your order to your door in the quickest time and in the best possible condition.

We will choose between one of the following delivery services:

  1. Our courier network (a selection of specifically selected outsourced couriers)
  2. A direct Bellbird staff member (including our own Bellbird delivery van servicing Melbourne metropolitan)

Freight and Handling Charges:

We operate a fair freight model based on the true and varying cost of transport across Australia.

Australia is segmented into three zones to keep freight simple for all (see table and map above). Freight rates are reviewed periodically. Charges for Zones 1 and 2 apply automatically via our ordering and quoting system and are fully transparent. Charges for Zone 3 are confirmed with the customer before the order is processed.

  • Zone 1: Covers approximately 90% of the Australian population, including Victoria, Sydney and local NSW country, Canberra, Adelaide and local SA country, and Brisbane and local QLD country. Freight is FREE on Zone 1 orders of $1,000 or more (ex-GST). For orders below $1,000, freight is charged on a sliding scale based on order value, as shown in the freight table above.
  • Zone 2: Covers the next band of country areas beyond Zone 1, including Tasmania. Freight is charged on a sliding scale based on order value (ex-GST). Please refer to the freight table and map above.
  • Zone 3: Covers all remaining areas outside Zones 1 and 2, including remote regions of Australia. Zone 3 freight is quoted before order confirmation. This allows us to provide a clear freight contribution based on the final order, delivery location and available carrier options. Due to the nature of these locations and the limited supply of transport, the cost of freight is too variable to be fixed or estimated upfront.

Some Zone 1 and Zone 2 orders may also require a freight review where the order includes bulky, oversized or unusually shaped goods that fall outside standard parcel freight conditions. This may include playground equipment, large outdoor items, or goods requiring special carrier handling.

Furniture and larger items do not automatically require additional freight. A review only applies where the final packed order materially changes the freight profile or falls outside standard parcel freight conditions. If a freight review is required, our Customer Solutions team will contact you before the order proceeds.

A note on our freight schedule: Our freight rates have been updated to reflect ongoing fluctuations in carrier charges driven by international shipping route disruptions, which continue to affect both inbound and domestic freight networks across Australia. We have absorbed cost increases wherever possible and will continue to review rates so that our freight contribution remains as fair and stable as we can make it.

Assembly:

Most items are supplied flat-packed unless otherwise stated. Assembly can be arranged on request and will be quoted separately before the order proceeds.

Checking an Order:

Please check your goods against your invoice. Claims must be made within 7 working days of the delivery date. Refer to our Claim’s Policy for further information.

If you have any questions about an order that you have placed, contact our Customer Solutions Team on 1300 365 268 or via enquire@bellbird.com.au for further information or assistance.
