This beautiful set of story stones are designed by a local Nyungar artist and depict Aboriginal symbols relating to Mob & Ceremony. The 12 Mob & Ceremony story stones are hand carved and engraved with indigenous symbols, the set comes with an additional hand painted and sealed stone.
To assist you to understand each symbol a factsheet is included explaining the symbols represented in the set and comes with a hand woven dilly bag for storage.
These story stones are a multi-use resource and will promote a greater understanding of Aboriginal culture and heritage. They could be used to enhance literacy through storytelling, or as a visual prop when reading books about Aboriginal culture and heritage. They would be great to include in a creative area as rubbing stones and are ideal to support and promote conversations about Aboriginal Meeting Places and Ceremonies.
