These solid beechwood spools bring movement and versatility to loose parts play, encouraging children to roll, stack and thread in open-ended ways. Their unique shape invites experimentation with balance and motion, supporting early problem solving as children explore how the spools move and interact during play.
The spools can be used for sorting, sequencing and pattern-making, added to small-world setups as loose components to extend imaginative play, or threading and stacking activities to support fine motor development and coordination. Each spool is finished to highlight the natural wood grain and coloured in the seven tones of the rainbow, with three of each colour included. Measuring 3.5cm, they are easy for small hands to grasp, roll and manipulate.
