The Wooden Lifecycle Tiles set supports children to explore growth and change in a clear and hands on way. Featuring real photographic images, the tiles illustrate the lifecycle stages of humans, bees, frogs, apples, butterflies and chickens, encouraging observation and discussion about how living things develop.
Each lifecycle is shown in four stages, with self correcting tiles that help children group and sequence each set accurately. This supports early scientific understanding, comparison and classification, while also encouraging children to notice similarities and differences across species.
Made from smooth birch plywood, the chunky tiles are easy for small hands to hold, sort and arrange. Suitable for both independent exploration and guided learning, they provide a meaningful introduction to lifecycles and the natural world.
Set includes 24 tiles, a cotton drawstring storage bag and an identification guide in 8 languages. Tile size 12mm thick, 70mm.
EYLF Learning Outcome Connections
Outcome 2.1: Children develop a sense of connection to the natural environment as they explore lifecycles and living things.
Outcome 4.2: Children develop a range of learning and thinking skills such as sequencing, comparing and classifying as they explore lifecycle stages.
