Aussie Nut Roller - Medium

Celebrate the sounds and textures of Australian native flora with this beautifully handcrafted Aussie Nut Roller. Native nuts are enclosed within a timber cage featuring two separate compartments, allowing them to move freely and create different sounds depending on how the roller is used.

Shaking the roller produces a gentle, rainmaker-like sound, while rolling it along the ground creates a rhythmic sound as the nuts travel over the timber dowels, inviting children to explore sound, movement and cause and effect through rich sensory play.

As children experiment with rolling, shaking and listening, they develop gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness while building early scientific understanding through observation and inquiry. The roller also provides opportunities to connect with Country by exploring Australian native flora and introducing conversations about the natural environment.
