This durable, self-watering raised garden bed is ideal for growing vegetables in a larger area, where space is not an issue. Unlike traditional raised garden beds, the Vegepod gives you complete control over the growing environment.

The self-watering reservoir holds up to 32 litres providing all the moisture your plants require – from below, therefore no water wastage, no run-off, no nutrient wash-through or loss.

Without a doubt, the most efficient enclosed growing bed system you can find. There is also a mesh cover included, which creates a micro-climate for the promotion of rapid growth and will also protect your plants from animals, pests, bugs, and damaging weather.

It has an in-built mist-spray watering system and the hinged cover provides effortless access to all plants – even mature ones. The unit is easily assembled, either on the ground or on the convenient stand (sold separately).

Then just add some good quality potting mix and you're ready to plant.

The self-contained design eliminates mess making it perfect for paved areas but goes equally well on bare soil or grass. A perfect way to provide an introduction to gardening for children.

This medium unit measures 1 x 1m  and is large enough to grow plenty of herbs, salads, leafy greens, and other vegetables.

It has a growing depth of 26cm, and measures 103cm in height.

The Vegepod is made from UV-stabilised, food-safe polypropylene. Requires 9 x 25-litre bags of good potting soil.

KindyGarden Early Years Gardening Program: Vegepod has consulted with the Centre for Children and Young People at Southern Cross University and First Years Early Childhood Consulting to develop a suite of gardening lesson plans designed to help guide educators throughout the entire growing process. The cutting-edge technology removes all the effort and ongoing maintenance of a traditional veggie patch. Container Gardening: An easy-to-manage contained garden bed is perfect for any early childhood education and care centre's outdoor area. Control the growth and veggie quality in a separate environment away from the ground. There is no possibility of contamination from existing soil and loss of nutrients to nearby trees. Self-Watering: Veggie health is ensured with the self-watering technology by using a wicking system that waters the plants from below. Plants can last weeks without watering in the Vegepods, as the reservoir reduces watering by up to 80%. Protective Cover: A greenhouse in your backyard by using a polyethylene knitted mesh to protect crops from UV and pests. The cover also helps manage temperature by allowing water and air to penetrate. Easy Set Up: The system clips together in minutes, even the children can do it. Fill with good organic soil mix and you are ready. Mist-Spray Watering: Clips onto any standard hose fitting for easy watering. Durable: Made from UV-stabilised polypropylene. A durable and completely safe food-grade plastic for growing veggies and recyclable. Rapid Growth: Micro-chemical canopy enables superior growth of all plants - grow veggies 50% faster. Nutrient Recycling: Not only does the reservoir capture excess water, it also recycles those valuable nutrients in your potting mix. KindyGarden Early Years Gardening Program: Vegepod has consulted with the Centre for Children and Young People at Southern Cross University and First Years Early Childhood Consulting to develop a suite of gardening lesson plans designed to help guide educators throughout the entire growing process. Each lesson links to principles, practices, and learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, which are highlighted for educators convenience on each lesson plan.
