Vegepod Raised Garden Bed with Garden Cover - Medium 1 x 1m

This durable, self-watering raised garden bed is ideal for growing vegetables in a larger area, where space is not an issue. Unlike traditional raised garden beds, the Vegepod gives you complete control over the growing environment.

The self-watering reservoir holds up to 32 litres providing all the moisture your plants require – from below, therefore no water wastage, no run-off, no nutrient wash-through or loss.

Without a doubt, the most efficient enclosed growing bed system you can find. There is also a mesh cover included, which creates a micro-climate for the promotion of rapid growth and will also protect your plants from animals, pests, bugs, and damaging weather.

It has an in-built mist-spray watering system and the hinged cover provides effortless access to all plants – even mature ones. The unit is easily assembled, either on the ground or on the convenient stand (sold separately).

Then just add some good quality potting mix and you're ready to plant.

The self-contained design eliminates mess making it perfect for paved areas but goes equally well on bare soil or grass. A perfect way to provide an introduction to gardening for children.

This medium unit measures 1 x 1m  and is large enough to grow plenty of herbs, salads, leafy greens, and other vegetables.

It has a growing depth of 26cm, and measures 103cm in height.

The Vegepod is made from UV-stabilised, food-safe polypropylene. Requires 9 x 25-litre bags of good potting soil.

KindyGarden Early Years Gardening Program: Vegepod has consulted with the Centre for Children and Young People at Southern Cross University and First Years Early Childhood Consulting to develop a suite of gardening lesson plans designed to help guide educators throughout the entire growing process. Each lesson links to principles, practices, and learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework, which are highlighted for educators convenience on each lesson plan.

Having a Vegepod is also a great way to incoroporate the new EYLF v2.0 principle of Sustainability. It will provide educators the opportunity to teach through practise about environmental, social and economic sustainablity.
