Artwork Story: Showcasing stunning artwork designed by First Nations artist Caitlyn Davies-Plummer, this artwork is named “Invisible String” created to represent the love story with my husband, Dale. The bottom of the artwork shows two separate campsites, representing both where Dale and I grew up. As your eyes rise up the painting, you can see two rivers coming into the centre point of the painting. These rivers represent the strong connection both Dale and I have to the different rivers we grew up around. The clapping sticks represent the traditional wedding present we were given by one of my Uncles on our wedding day. The campsite at the top of the painting represents the wedding and life together we’ve built since marriage. We’ve faced many ups and downs together, with our journey lines coming together, whilst acknowledging our pasts.
